One Year Anniversary Celebration Saturday!!

WE HAVE BEEN OPEN FOR ONE YEAR!!!!  HELP US CELEBRATE!

On Saturday, April 23rd we will open an hour early, at 12 noon, so we can celebrate! Most things are rain or shine, but call ahead to be sure (and hope for perfect weather!).

12 - 3 pm Face Painting

            Ipswich's own Shirley Berry will be face painting for us! Don't miss out!

12 - 7 pm Bees Under the Microscope

            We will have 2 scopes set up so you can examine bees (workers and drones), flowers and all sorts of things mead!

12 - 7 pm Legal Graffiti Tile Signing - annex

            Come wish us well and leave your mark!

12 - 7 pm Viking / Knight Selfies Contest

            Pop on a helmet or stand proudly with Sir Meadalot and snap a selfie!

12 - 5 Hourly Swag Raffle

            Fill out a card and pop it into the jar for your chance to win a tank, T-shirt, honey sticks,               or a souvenir glass! No purchase necessary - one ticket per customer! Drawings hourly.

2 - 4 pm Bee Craft for the little ones

            Our daughters will help your child create a fun bee that they can take home!

2:30 - 3:15 pm The Viking Irish

            They will demonstrate aspects of Viking culture including combat- Jomsviking live-steel   combat system, and so much more!

4 - 4:30 Keeping a Hive: Bee Talk by Sarah Rydgren

            Learn about hives, bees, bee behavior, and of course honey!

2 - 7 pm Honey Tasting

            Put your taste buds to the test and learn more about varietal honeys and how they impact our meads.

            No double dipping!

And of course, there will be mead tastings and tours all day long!

In Depth

We made our decision to open our Meadery in spring of 2014.  What an adventure it has been! 

From deciding to lease the property, getting all the local, state and federal licenses, working on the production area, gathering equipment, designing and buiding the tasting room to the grand opening, we have been hard at it.
